With connections to VOLTA Basel’s new venue at Klybeck 610, we speak to Nelly Riggenbach - Director of Communications and Engagement on the Novartis campus - one of the world’s leading medicine companies based in Basel. We explore how the city of Basel is built on creativity in the arts and science industries and Novartis’ links with art both historically, including the likes of Claude Monet, and inspiring artwork created today.

VOLTA New York Announces 2023 Exhibitors and Program Highlights.

The contemporary art fair returns to the Metropolitan Pavilion from Wednesday, May 17 to Sunday, May 21.

In this edition of Meet the Gallery, we catch up with Anne-Mie Emons Director of O-68 Gallery and previous Professor of Plant Cell biology. We discuss what questions she asks herself before selecting artists, the intersections between science and art, and find out about the artist she’s presenting a VOLTA New York later this Spring.

Zimmer studied at Academy of Fine Arts Städelschule, continuing his studies to graduate as a Masters student of Tobias Rehberger. With this foundation in sculpting, Zimmer quickly turned towards abstract painting by creating collages and décollages stating that his work “emerge as paintings through sculpture.”

CAM Galeria is nestled between the rich cultural and commercial worlds in the vibrant Polanco district of Mexico City. Founded in 2017 by Diego García, Sofía Creel and Daniela Carrasco, the three were united in promoting contemporary art that reflects Mexico’s rich cultural history and stage it to the international market.

We share with you the departure of Director Kamiar Maleki who resigned from his position in December to pursue new projects.

Kamiar has been the consistent steer for VOLTA since 2019 and, applying his experience as a multifaceted arts professional and respected collector, has helped evolve our position on the international art collectors’ market in New York and Basel.
