As a longstanding VOLTA Basel collaborator, Maus Contemporary personifies the dedication to supporting creativity and experimental, issue-driven artwork that is so important to the curation of our Fair. We’re delighted to welcome them back for VOLTA Basel 2023, where they’ll present a special project by Spanish artist, Irene Grau: “The Carrier”.

VOLTA will host the New York fashion scene for one night only! With Fern Mallis and Gary Wassner at the helm, the contemporary art fair will unite with Fashion Fights Cancer to host an art auction and unveil new creations by six renowned New York designers.

Leszek Skurski challenges the limits of the figurative and abstract, exploring the moment when the color on the canvas turns into the shape of a body. Up close, the black and grey surfaces dissolve into brushstrokes, but by stepping away from the canvas, these shapes become characters in a larger narrative.
