Chinese American photographer Sophie Zhai found her calling at 13, when her late father gifted her a camera. Known for her striking portraits of performing artists, Sophie’s lens also weaves introspective visual poetry, capturing tender scenes of desolate landscapes, emerging with subtle human figures, evoking a delightful sense of silence and solitude.

Ivan Stojakovic's artwork speaks to his affection towards the natural world. Spending his youth encapsulated by urban jungles in the clutches of civil unrest, Stojakovic found solace in nature.
Influenced by his experiences and nomadic tendencies, Stojakovic’s constructivist collages blend mediums, creating unique landscapes which are neither painting or sculpture.

Gary Armer transforms the mundane into the exceptional. Creating paintings that look like your childhood toy box, the British painter’s works allow a moment to get lost in nostalgia.
Winning the 2022 British Art Prize, Armer is one of the most widely recognized contemporary hyperrealist painters in today.

An established artist, poet, and curator JoAnne McFarland describes “creativity as the opposite of violence”. Using her art as a vessel to communicate “brutal truths” and celebrate her own and other’s “ability to thrive”.
McFarland states that her painting in her ‘Selfie’ series, a project spanning over 20 year which depicts an antique doll, is a way for the artist to clarify her own thoughts about self-worth and personal agency.

Presenting a series entitled ‘Visual Poetry’, uJung Art Center present one of South Koreas leading contemporary painters, Hyunjin Kwon.
Professor, academic and artist, Hyunjin’s work sits between painterly abstraction and a pixelated format and has been acquired by Foundation Louis Vuitton, The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Art Bank), Korean Embassy of Hong Kong, KB Bank and more.
