The gallery focuses on promoting contemporary, both young artists from the Duesseldorf Art Academy as well as established talents from German-speaking countries and renowned international artists. Our programme will guide through group exhibitions and individual presentations in the fields of figurative painting, new media, sculptures/objects and photography.
Since the gallery was founded regular participation in national and international art fairs. Apart from our activities with regard to exhibitions and brokerage, we also offer our services in the field of art consulting with our special competencies.
Christoph Rode's works can be located in spatial and landscape situations. These are represented by stage installations and multi-dimensional scenarios full of fragmental content. The materials, objects and seemingly typical spatial divisions used represent an alienation in a perhaps familiar situation and form the essential core of his work.
Rita Rohlfing: “My works reflect the fact that we live in a present that has become enormously complex and incomprehensive in many of its aspects. The denial of stability can also be read as a mirror of the present, which repeatedly calls for a change of location and perspective through its speed, transience and uncertainty. My works reflect the social conditions of our time, in which the boundaries between the virtual and the real world are becoming increasingly blurred.”
Art is my constant – not only in troubled times. A positive thought to create brightness out of darkness and the desire to create order out of chaos are the starting points of my artistic work. Almost compulsively, I bring supposedly independent and detached elements into a formal order.
Maxim Wakultschik: “The resulting multi-layered and complex objects create a constant interplay of light and shadow. The change of perspective by the viewer means a changed perception, although only an illusion simulates a movement – like a kinetic object.”
