We present a dialogue between three different artistic positions, however, united in the constant research for new expressions forms of the used materials and colours: the German Giovanni Castell with his digital elaborations on acrylic boxes, the Italian Robert Pan with his objects on resin and the Colombian Santiago Reyes Villaveces with his installation sculpture and different works on paper; using as a departure point the solar panels used in new generations of satellites, this new project focus on the allure of the solar cells and its material implications in the consolidation of space economy. The project Sunpower consists on drawing-sculpting a sort of replicas of satellite solar energy technology. The idea is to produce a set of objects that flirt with these objects to remind us how these aesthetical objects are shaping our present and casting the future of humanity as a multi-planetary species. Differently, the Moon marks drawing series explores the politics behind the mapping of the moon by carefully depicting the surface of the moon of specific craters of historical importance.

The impact of the works of Robert Pan derives instead from their beauty of concept and construction, from the intensity and splendour of their colours. The pigments are applied in numerous successive layers, sealed in resin, and filed and polished, all in the light of carefully construed relationships between areas of opacity and transparence.

Differently, for years now Giovanni Castell has been continuing his quest to combine complex digital manipulations of photography with architectural elements or virtual spaces. He does not seek to reproduce reality, as is the case with photography, but rather to create a new reality, an individual place or a landscape, with the aid of an obvious technique distinctly reminiscent of painting.
