Galerie Gans
Galerie Gans will present artists under the concept: From Nature to Abstract — Mario Dalpra, Theresa Möller, Thomas Riess & Christoph Rode.
Theresa Möller's natural landscapes play between objectivity and abstraction. She is interested in the ambiguous transitions between cultural formation and organic development. In her paintings she addresses the tragic entanglement and indissoluble interdependence of natural dynamics and cultural imprinting.
Christoph Rode is captivated by the contrast of color, form, perspective, and objects in his paintings. The motifs are located in alienated spatial and landscape situations, which in turn are reminiscent of a stage-like spatial installation.
Mario Dalpra creates surreal, form-reduced, and bronze sculptures that convey the feeling of fluid motion through a gesticulatory touch.
The three artists transition between emergence and decay, and between objectivity and abstraction. They thereby proceed from natural forms, that are recognizable by the viewer, to abstract realities.
Thomas Riess "Idols" are actresses of a seemingly perfect life, excellently dressed models of a world that is far too smooth and superficial. What is behind the facade remains hidden.
