AQUILALUNA GALLERY
Liege, Belgium

Aquilaluna Gallery

The gallery has chosen to present two artists – Sonia  Ros (Italy) and Carlos Albert (Spain) – and to combine sculptural works with paintings.

Sonia Ros disassembles bodies. Her multiple figures, halfway  between  human  beings  and submarine creatures, force us to overcome appearances in order to concentrate  on reality as such. Her work brings to light  our thoughts, our multidimensional moods and the contradictions that we all have at least once experienced. She takes us on an inner journey that celebrates life, its mysteries and its natural challenges .

Carlos Albert screams and shouts, and expresses life such as he sees it, through movement and, more recently, color. Sculpting is a vital need for Carlos Albert. The materials - wrought iron and Corten steel - are essential for him. They symbolize his connection to nature. Either his wrought iron works shaped by fire starting from rough sections or his Corten steel sculptures in which sheets are assembled to perfection, both utter personal expressivity combining movement and introspection.

Both artists will show up with recent works: the expression of the inner world of Sonia Ros's paintings and the pure state expressivity of Carlos Albert's sculptures.

Sonia Ros, Hublot, 2020, Oil on canvas, Diameter:150 cm.
