Established in 2021 in a 100 year old former residence of Dr. Boonsong Lekagul, the father of environmental conservation in Thailand, Warin Lab Contemporary is distinguished by the calibre of its program. The gallery engages with the global audience by addressing prevailing issues of environment and sustainability through leading-edge curatorial projects. The gallery works with artists and curators from around the world to create meaningful dialogues through non-conforming art practices that provoke thoughts and stimulate actions.
Since its inception, Warin Lab Contemporary have been working with research base curators and artists throughout the region. Its exhibition programs create public awareness on the the issues such as extinct species, marine debris, air pollution, waste management, vulnerability of the great river, oil spill, tree management and so on.
Warin Lab Contemporary emphasizes on the public programs to engage the audience at a deeper level. Its educational programs draw knowledge from scientist, biologist, conservationist, and environmentalist in tandem with the contemporary artists. The gallery also hosts 2 podcasts; In Artversation and Sustainability 101.
