STOA Gallery opened its doors in 2006 in the port of Estepona-Málaga, on the Mediterranean coast close to Gibraltar. A geographical area undergoing rapid growth and where significant advances are being made in the cultural field, including the Picasso Museum and the Pompidou in Málaga.

STOA places an emphasis on promoting and developing the artistic careers of the eight artists they currently represent. The gallery has focused on supporting emerging, as well as more established artists, from those in mid-career to some with significant international standing. The STOA family has a place for everyone, and to support their careers the exhibition programme focuses on curated solo shows - an important springboard for their careers as well as strengthening the relationship between the artist and the gallery.

Since 2014, STOA takes part in several international art fairs each year, including VOLTA, Art Miami and Art Central Hong Kong.
