Vilnius City Gallery Meno Niša was founded in 2002. Meno Niša is one of the most active contemporary art galleries in Lithuania. It exhibits professional contemporary art, organizes international art projects, cooperates with foreign galleries, cultural institutions, and artists, and conducts educational activities.

The gallery’s program is focused on different media of contemporary art: painting, sculpture, installation, performance, photography, video art, etc. Every year, Meno Niša actively participates in foreign exhibitions and art fairs: Positions Berlin, Volta Basel, Viennacontemporary, ArtVilnius, Kolner Liste, Art Karlsruhe, ArtVerona, YIA Paris Brussels, etc.

Diana Stomienė, head of Meno Niša gallery, is the president of the Lithuanian Art Gallerists’ Association and the director of ArtVilnius, the largest visual arts event in Eastern and Northern Europe, since 2009. In 2021, the gallery’s project The 1st Vilnius Biennial of Performance Art won the competition announced by Vilnius City Municipality and GO Vilnius, dedicated to the 700th anniversary of Vilnius.

In 2022, Meno Niša won the status of Vilnius City Cultural Organization announced by Vilnius City Municipality.
