Mark Hachem
PARIS, FRANCE
Stand C01
In 1996, Mark Hachem opened his first contemporary art gallery in the heart of Paris's Marais district. Over the past three decades, the gallery has distinguished itself on the Paris art scene by its marked interest in kinetic art and Op Art, two trends that marked the 20th century. These innovative artistic movements have found a special place in the gallery's exhibition space.
Mark Hachem's passion for art encompasses a wider range of currents and styles, including cubism, neo-expressionism, and the Nice School. His Paris gallery has been a privileged stage for the works of celebrated artists such as Pablo Picasso, Arman, Cesar, Christo, Polles, Franco Adami, Fernando Botero, Roberto Matta, Wifredo Lam, Philippe Hiquily, and Marino Di Teana.
Mark Hachem's commitment to contemporary art extends beyond the realm of exhibition. As an advisor to public institutions and private collectors, his expertise and passion have been instrumental in fostering the careers of numerous contemporary, Middle Eastern, and international artists. The works of Zena Assi, Ghazi Baker, Mauro Corda, Alois Kronschlaeger, Yoshiyuki Miura, James Chedburn, and Shawn Smith have found a cherished home within the galleries' walls, with prestigious exhibitions at the Institut du Monde Arabe, the Musée de la Poste in Paris, and the National Art and Culture Center in Norway. The Galerie Mark Hachem is a venue for artistic expression in all forms and is a place of openness to the world and the world of art.
