GALLERY ARTPARK

GALLERY ARTPARK brings artists from Europe and Korea into a dialogue. The gallery presents each artists’ interpretation of how the transfer of colors on to different surfaces creates 3D to flat sculptural compositions, that reflects patterns and scenes found in nature and beyond.

Their construal of shapes and forms, affects their use of colors and materials - differences that are traced back to their artistic and cultural heritage. Despite these differences, we see similarities in their thought processes; a common denominator is their inspiration of nature’s characteristics – such as landscapes, foliage or even microorganisms.

As conceptual artists, the art is free of boundaries, creating works that include the screen printing, many layers colors of thick paint on different board (Markus Blattmann, Germany) and the organic, sculptural reliefs on paper 'Hanji' (Jeong Min Suh, Korea) and photographs of landscapes printed in a special way (Kim Yeong Jea, Korea).

Markus Blattmann, heads red, 2013, , mixed media and woodcut printed on handmade paper and glued Aludibond, 55 x 75 cm
